What’s my story?

When I was 6, my father impulsively ordered from an infomercial a package of 50 films starring Mexican film legend Cantinflas. While my four older siblings rolled their eyes, I became the sole proprietor of the collection and devoured them all. It is one of my oldest memories.

I’m a Puerto Rican director, editor and writer based in Brooklyn. In 2011, I was a co-recipient of the Raul Julia Scholarship by the Puerto Rico Film Commission to study an MFA in Screenwriting and Directing at Columbia University. I’m particularly interested in exploring the everyday limits of perception: the idea that, somewhere in the gap that stands between our self-image and how we appear to others, something akin to truth can emerge.

My shorts have been awarded in Croatia, England, Israel and Spain. Among these, "The Least Worst Man" was acquired and distributed by HBO in 2018. In 2020, my project "Music for Plants" was funded by the French Alliance of Puerto Rico. My most recent short film, "The Department of All Things Lost & Found," premiered at the New York Short Film Festival in 2021.

As an editor, I’ve specialized in both commercial and fiction work. I have worked with clients such as Christie’s, PwC, Meta, GoDaddy, etc. I’m the editor of the award winning film “Cielo” (2025) , currently undergoing a successful festival run across the globe, most recently at Fantasporto and SXSW London.

I am developing my first feature film, "Un lugar de agua," which was workshopped in the prestigious CineQuaNon screenwriting lab with Oscar-nominated screenwriter Senel Paz as mentor. I am also co-writing a romantic comedy and will publish my short stories collection "Lugares para estar solos" in 2025.
